🎙️ Poetry in the Making: David Cappella | VSG Second Sundays

Step into an unforgettable evening of poetry, memory, and meaning at Vicinanza Studios & Gallery's Second Sunday Poetry & Music event 🎶📖✨

This special session features David Cappella — poet, memoirist, and Professor Emeritus of English at Central Connecticut State University — sharing deeply personal poems inspired by his memoir-in-progress. With a voice shaped by years of literary scholarship and performance, David guides the audience through stories of heritage, family, language, and loss. 🇮🇹🖋️

🎤 David is the former poet-in-residence at the Sunken Garden Poetry Festival and has performed across the U.S., Ireland, and Russia. His rich body of work, including Gobbo: A Solitaire’s Opera and co-authorship of A Surge of Language: Teaching Poetry Day by Day, has inspired readers and students alike.

📍 Filmed live at Vicinanza Studios & Gallery in Southbury, CT — where art, literature, and community meet every month to celebrate authentic creative voices.

Whether you’re a fan of poetry, Italian-American storytelling, or witnessing works-in-progress come to life, this reading will move you. ❤️🌍
