We’re excited to share our latest video capturing the joy and creativity of our Ornament Painting Workshop, held on Saturday, December 7th, 2024, at Vicinanza Studios & Gallery!

In this festive workshop, a group of talented participants came together to create beautiful holiday ornaments using various techniques. From vibrant acrylic pours to intricate dot art and even unique pours inside plastic ornaments, the results were nothing short of magical.

Interview with Madelaine Ventre, owner and stewart of the Niberian Fiber Art Tapestries.

Chief Zacheus Olowonubi Oloruntoba was not only an artist, but also a herbal specialist and traditional healer. His artwork played a major role in his healing practice since, he noted, the paintings have the power to heal a range of ailments. According to Oloruntoba, the vegetable dyes used in his paintings are not simply colours; rather they are medicines made from traditional roots and herbs that give the paintings therapeutic powers.
